Access Keys

The Access Keys are combinations of keys that allow you to operate without using the mouse and give rapid access to the main operating systems and applications. Although this may seem like something simple (and perhaps superfluous) to the majority of end users, these combinations are essential to people with disabilities that prevent them using a mouse.

Thanks to the Access Keys it is possible to associate a combination such as Alt+<Key> to a particular link, making it entirely accessible via keyboard.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has adopted this tool in compliance with the regulations in force and, in particular, with Law no. 4/2004 (Legge Stanca) aimed at facilitating access by people with disabilities to computer technology.

The FAQ section (Frequently Asked Questions) lists the most frequent user queries based on the statistics collected by the Office for Relations with the Public (URP).

The system seeks to satisfy user requests as fully as possible by dividing up the answers according to subject matter.

In the case that a satisfactory answer has not been provided, it is possible to send a written request directly to the URP using the special form available at the link “Online Questions” located in the “In Detail” box of every section in which the FAQ are listed.
