Study Grants for Italian citizens residing abroad

In pursuance of Law no. 288/55 and subsequent amendments and supplements, as well as bilateral and multilateral cultural agreements, each year the Italian government offers study grants for Italian citizens residing abroad in the following countries: Australia, Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Mexico, Peru, South Africa, Tunisia, United States of America, Uruguay and Venezuela.

The necessary requirements, documentation, on-line application and instructions on how and when to submit it, along with other useful information are available in the section Study Grants for foreigners and italians residing abroad  of this website and can be requested from any local Italian Cultural Institute or Consulate.

Study Grants for foreign students
The Italian government offers grants each year to foreign students wishing to study or do research in Italy and whose aim is to encourage international cultural cooperation and the dissemination of Italian language, culture and scientific/technological expertise, as well as promotion of the Italian economy in the rest of the world.
