Consular offices and services abroad
Online Inquiries
AIRE is the official registry of Italian citizens residing abroad and each consulate has a division that deals with this service.
Do I need to be registered with AIRE?
Registration with AIRE is both a legal right and a duty for all citizens who have transferred their residence abroad. Registration is also required in order to take advantage of consulate services such as, for example, the issuance/renewal of passports and voting.
What do I need to register?
I am already registered in AIRE but have changed my address. What do I need to do?
All address changes must be reported to the consular office. This can be done in person, by letter, fax or e-mail, attaching a photocopy of your ID document and, where available, a photocopy of the document attesting to the address change issued by the local authorities.
