Esteri News, the Italian diplomacy news service, is the fruit of a communication project between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Press Office and the Class/CNBC television network. The aim of the initiative is to increase public awareness of the many activities and projects promoted by the foreign ministry and its extensive network abroad. These range from committed work in the international organisations to bilateral relations with other countries; from participation in key international events to negotiations on major themes such as disarmament, the environment, energy and the fight against terrorism; from economic diplomacy to culture; from development cooperation initiatives to the promotion of human rights; from migration and social issues to services provided for Italian citizens. In other words, all the initiatives that play a part in implementing Italian foreign policy.
“Esteri news” is broadcast every Thursday at 14.10, on Class CNBC, Sky channel 505, with repeat broadcasts on the following days (Thursday h. 20:40; Friday h. 14:40; Saturday h. 11:30; Tuesday h. 22:40). It will also be streamed through the news section of the Rosso Alice portal (http://www.yalp.alice.it/) and through Telecom Italia’s “Alice” Internet Protocol Television (IPTV) service. “Esteri News” footage will of course always be available on the home page of the Ministry’s web site: www.esteri.it
