Copenaghen: climate emergency in an installation by Italian artist Cunoldi Attems at the Royal Library

10 December 2009

Italian art showcased in Copenhagen at the World Climate Summit: on 11 December at 16.00 the SAVE! installation by Annibel Cunoldi Attems, created for the “Black Diamond”, seat of the Royal Library.

The initiative, organised by the Italian Cultural Institute of Copenhagen with the sponsorship of the Embassy of Italy, has been made possible thanks to a special contribution by the foreign ministry’s Directorate General for Cultural Cooperation and Promotion.

Appealing to the four elements—air, water, earth and fire—SAVE! calls attention to the most pressing global problem of our times: climate change. The piece is located not only at the site of the city’s most emblematic building, but also along one of its main thoroughfares, and its message is powerful and striking.

SAVE! will be accompanied by a catalogue in Italian, English and Danish and can be seen through the autumn of 2010.
