On 4 July Italian Ambassador to Lebanon Giuseppe Morabito participated in the opening ceremony for the 2012 Hay Festival in Beirut, dedicated to the theme: “Imagine the world”.

2008 Strega Prize winner Paolo Giordano was present for Italy, and spoke about his first novel “The Solitude of Prime Numbers”, translated into more than 25 langauges, as well as about his work as a journalist and his future projects.
