This section provides access to a programme that allows journalists from the Italian and foreign press to obtain accreditation for events organised by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Italy and abroad. Foreign press correspondents will also be able to obtain permanent accreditation with the Ministry.

Applicants are required to fill out an interactive form and attach any documents necessary, in digital format.

The new procedure also envisages online submission by foreign diplomatic missions in Italy of the Note Verbale requesting accreditation for journalists.

Registered journalists will also have access to a folder containing text and audio-visual files provided by the ministry’s Press Office as useful resources for their work.

The new accreditation system also requires journalists who already have a valid permanent accreditation currently in force to register and submit the necessary documents. This is to ensure that their personal details are correct and are treated uniformly in future digital accreditation procedures. Registration will also facilitate the work of the Accreditation Department and enable more effective assistance to be provided for foreign press correspondents dealing with bureaucratic procedures relating to their stay in Italy.

Personal information will be treated with due respect for the privacy legislation.
