WHAT IS DAVINCI?
DAVINCI is an Internet accessible database set up by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs that gathers data, voluntarily provided by its participants, on the activities, research interests and competences of Italian researchers working abroad.
The data supplied are useful for the purposes of making connections, getting information and generating dialogue. The information contained will be made public to all end-users. In accordance with European directives and Italian law no. 196/2003 no sensitive data will be issued to third parties and in no case will e-mail address lists be compiled or transmitted.
WHAT DOES IT DO?
Access to DAVINCI is open to everyone. The free, on-line registration also provides access to the Forum and Newsletter. The system managers and the expert personnel assigned by the Italian Embassies can verify the correctness and soundness of the data provided, making any corrections or exclusions and informing users of the same.
