The guide for businesses operating in Russia runs to over 800 pages. It was promoted by the Embassy and produced with help from the Agency for the Promotion Abroad and Internationalisation of Italian Enterprises (ICE), the Italian-Russian Chamber of Commerce, Confindustria, Promos, GIM-Unimpresa, KPMG and the Pavia-Ansaldo Law Practice. The publication aims to provide Italian businesses, whether already operating in Russia or intending to enter the Russian market, with up-to-date economic data and information on: the work of the institutions and bodies making up “System Italy”; the Russian banking sector; the incentives envisaged by the Government and local bodies of the Federation; and Russia’s commercial law and regulations.
The publication opens with forewords by the Italian Ministers for Foreign Affairs, Giulio Terzi, and Economic Development, Corrado Passera. These are accompanied by forewords by the Russian Ministers for Commerce and Industry, Denis Manturov, and Economic Development, Elvira Nabiullina. It was produced with support from numerous public and private sector sponsors (Carnelutti and Pavia-Ansaldo Law Practices, Italian-Russian Chamber of Commerce, SACE, SIMEST, FINEST, Banco Popolare, “Lex and Energy” Law Practice, GIM-Unimpresa, UBI Banca, Unicredit bank, Monte dei Paschi di Siena). From 21 May 2012, the work will also be available in e-book format on the websites of the Italian Embassy in Moscow (www.ambmosca.esteri.it) and of the other organisations that have helped produce it. The on-line version will be up-dated regularly. An extract is already available on the Embassy website at: http://sedi2.esteri.it/sitiweb/AmbMosca/estratto%20guida.pdf
