The Diplomat’s Bookshelf

This section contains a selection of publications (books as well as published articles and essays) on topics regarding international policy or pertaining to diplomatic activities written by the diplomatic personnel of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The database makes it possible to search by author, title, geographical area or topic. Each author cited is covered by an outline containing a brief description of texts, dates of publication and publisher.

The “Diplomat’s Bookshelf” is a service the Ministry of Foreign Affairs means to offer to both specialists as well as the everyday reader, making available the writings of Italian diplomats regarding their personal commitments as well as outside the normal sphere of their activities—the fruit, therefore, of the experience, practice and skills and all the baggage of knowledge that a diplomat acquires over time.
