Accreditation Note: Official ceremony for the awarding of the Rita Levi-Montalcini Prize for scientific cooperation between Italy and Israel

On Wednesday 2 November at 11:00 am, the Farnesina will host the first Ceremony for the awarding of the "Rita Levi-Montalcini Prize for scientific cooperation between Italy and Israel". Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI), Paolo Gentiloni, and Minister of Education, Universities and Research (MIUR), Stefania Giannini, will participate in the event.

The Prize, promoted by MAECI and Fondazione CRUI for Italian Universities in agreement with MIUR, is designed to strengthen scientific cooperation between Italy and Israel.

Professor Itamar Procaccia of the Israeli Weizmann Institute of Science will be awarded the prestigious prize. "La Sapienza" University of Rome will host Professor Procaccia for a period of teaching and studying, during which he will conduct a scientific project in cooperation with a group of Italian researchers, headed by the internationally acknowledged physicist, professor Giorgio Parisi.
Journalists, photographers and TV crews interested in following the event are requested to apply for online accreditation by filling the interactive form at the link http://mae.accreditationsystem.info/ITA/Indice.asp, attaching thereto, unless already provided, the information requested in digital format (letter from the media organisation and, for representatives of foreign media, also a Note Verbale released by the Embassy in Rome of the media organisation’s Country).

If it is not possible to complete the online accreditation procedure, applications should be sent by email to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation’s Institutional Press and Communication Service at the following address: accreditamentostampa@esteri.it (tel. + 39 06/3691.3432 or 8573 or 8210).

Accredited journalists, photographers and TV crews should enter the Ministry from the main entrance, left-hand side, starting at 10:15 a.m.
