PRESS ACCREDITATION NOTICE - "Innovation and the Future: the world of Italian Cooperation"

PRESS ACCREDITATION NOTICE -

On 24 and 25 January the Auditorium Parco della Musica in Rome will host the National Conference of Development Cooperation, entitled "Innovation and the Future: the world of Italian Cooperation" in the Santa Cecilia Hall. The event was organised by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation, AICS.
Representatives of institutions, local authorities and NGOs are expected to attend along with members of the academic world, the private sector, companies and entertainment. They bear testimony of cooperation projects together with those who work in the field. The conference is an opportunity to open to the public the world of the Development Cooperation. It also focuses on young people by discussing international cooperation issues, both as a source of job opportunities and as a fundamental experience "to build a global citizenship".
On 24 January the Conference opens at 9:30 a.m. with an institutional session. Elisabetta Belloni, Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation will deliver the introductory remarks. Addresses will also be made by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Angelino Alfano, and the President of the Central African Republic, Faustin Archange Touadera.
There will also be addresses by Carlo Calenda, Minister of Economic Development, Gian Luca Galletti, Minister of the Environment and the Protection of Natural Resources and the Sea, Andrea Ricciardi, President of Dante Alighieri Society, Neven Mimica, European Commissioner in charge of International Cooperation and  Development, and Antonio Decaro, President of ANCI.
At 3:00 p.m, high level round tables will focus on five main themes: youth, migration, the private sector, sustainable development and communication.
In the morning on 25 January the conference will focus on the theme "Cooperation can change the world". The session will include an exchange of opinions and experiences by well-known people who work to support the many Cooperation sectors, at international and local levels.
The event will end at 13:00 p.m. with presentation of the summary document by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Mario Giro. This will be followed by comments from the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Angelino Alfano, and the address of Prime Minister, Paolo Gentiloni.

Journalists, photographers and TV crews are requested to apply for accreditation in one of the following ways:

-    by filling in the interactive form at  http://mae.accreditationsystem.info/ITA/Indice.asp, attaching, unless already provided, the information requested in digital format (letter from the media organisation and, for representatives of foreign media, also a Note Verbale released by the Rome Embassy of the media organisation’s Country).   

-   by sending an email to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation’s Institutional Press and Communication Service at the following address: accreditamentostampa@esteri.it (Tel. + 39 06/3691.3432 or 8573 or 8210), attaching the letter of his/her media organisation (or press card) and, for members of the foreign press, a Note Verbale released by the Rome Embassy of the media organisation’s Country.

    

Accredited journalists, photographers and TV crews can enter the Auditorium Parco della Musica at the entrance at Viale Pietro de Coubertain, 30, at the following times:

24 January:    from 8:00 a.m. to  9:00 a.m.

                       from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

 

25 January:    from 8:30 a.m. until 12:00 p.m.
