Ukraine’s “Ave Verdi” Festival, which runs from 10 to 26 October 2013, will bring 10 of Verdi’s works to the country’s six opera theatres, in Kiev, Odessa, Leopoli, Kharkiv, Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk. The musical “marathon” was conceived by the Italian Embassy and Italian Cultural Institute in Kiev in collaboration with the Ukrainian Ministry of Culture, to celebrate the 200th anniversary of the composer’s birth.
