Western Australia is preparing for the 17th edition of the Italian Language Week in the World with a competition aimed at testing the oratory skills of young people studying Italian. Open to students of between 10 and 15 years of age, the speech competition will give them an opportunity to recount the story of their families, and more especially their grandparents. The competition aims to encourage participants to develop their language proficiency while discovering more about their origins. The Dante Alighieri Society is co-organising the event in conjunction with the Consulate.
