The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation joins the third edition of the Open Government Week (OGV- 11-17 March 2019), promoted by the Public Function Department. Seven days of initiatives across Italy and abroad will promote the culture and practice of transparency, participation and accountability, both in Public Administrations and in society at large.
The OGV was established by the Open Government Forum (OGP) an international initiative designed to engage all governments in promoting transparency, empowering civil society, fighting corruption and spreading new innovation-driving technologies inside and outside Public Administrations. In the spirit of multi-stakeholder collaboration, the OGP is overseen by a Steering Committee including representatives of governments and civil society organizations. Italy joined the OGP on 5 September 2011 and as of 1 October 2017, our Country has a three-year SC seat.
