Italy’s chief diplomat is in Paris today for a Ministerial Conference called “No Money For Terror” on countering finance for Daesh and Al-Qaida.The meeting, held at the OSCE headquarters in Paris from 10:15 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., aims to enhance the commitment of the international community to counter terrorism. The focus will be on sources and networks financing terrorist groups, especially Al-Qaida and Daesh. Main items on the agenda are: methods used to finance terrorism and violent extremism, such as propaganda on the internet, money-laundering and diverting legal sources, financial intelligence and information sharing, judicial issues, mutual cooperation against crime and strengthening international organisations working in the sector.
