Yesterday, in Lima, the Undersecretary of State for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Guglielmo Picchi, and the Peruvian Minister of Culture, Ulla Holmquist Pachas, opened the “Da Vinci Experience” exhibition to celebrate the 500th anniversary of the birth of Leonardo da Vinci.
The full-immersion exhibition is an all-round overview of Leonardo’s genius. “It is quite exceptional to promote Italian culture in Latin America through an unquestionable symbol of the Italian character, capable of combining art and science well ahead of its time,” said Undersecretary Picchi.
The “Da Vinci Experience ” – an exhibition that is scheduled to travel in several countries of South and North America – is one of the 150 initiatives promoted by the Ministry to commemorate the 500th anniversary of the birth of Leonardo da Vinci.
