Undersecretary Ivan Scalfarotto spoke this morning at the Altaroma conference dedicated to the circular economy and fashion design to enhance emerging talents that contribute to the protection and development of the sustainable Italian fashion system.
Innovation at the service of an ecological and social balance was at the heart of the Undersecretary’s speech. “The social dimension of fashion must go hand in hand with the environmental aspect. Both are the sides of the same coin: that of sustainability. These days at the World Economic Forum in Davos there is much talk about ‘stakeholder responsibility’. We must aim to protect the competitiveness and uniqueness of Made in Italy products on foreign markets by investing more and more in innovation, technology and quality. Training and empowerment of the new generations are the keys to Italy’s future”.
