As part of the promotional activities in Spain associated with the Sixth Week of Italian Cuisine, the Italian Embassy in Madrid in launching a competition to “train, give visibility, and offer opportunities” for young chefs wishing to specialise in Italian cuisine.
The culinary competition ” Prepara il Tuo Futuro-Nuovi Talenti della Cucina Italiana” [“Prepare Your Future-New Talents of Italian Cuisine”], now in its fourth edition, is part of ITmakeES Food & Wine, an initiative that responds to the philosophy of ITmakES (Italy and Spain making together), which creates new bridges of effective collaboration between the civil societies of the two countries. The winners will be able to attend theory courses at two cookery schools in Italy (ALMA – the International School of Italian Cuisine, and ICIF – the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners), combined with internships at Italian restaurants. “The promotion of Italian food and wine through professional training schools and chefs” said Ambassador Riccardo Guariglia “is a winning formula and further proof that when we work together we can achieve better results”.
