The Week of Italian Cuisine in the World was celebrated in Riyadh at the residence of the Italian Ambassador, Roberto Cantone, with four evenings in the course of which some typical dishes of our cuisine were presented, reinterpreted in a modern key by the Italian chef from the renowned Al Faisaliah Hotel in Riyadh.
Short videos about the “Alleanza Slow Food dei Cuochi” [“Slow Food Chefs Alliance”] also made it possible to go on a virtual journey through the excellence of our gastronomic culture. During these four evenings the Ambassador’s Residence also hosted multimedia installations related to the exhibition “Caruso, Corelli, Di Stefano. Legends of Italian bel canto”. Thanks to the collaboration of the Fondazione alla Scala, guests were able to admire some images taken from the virtual exhibition. This series of cultural events in Saudi Arabia was also an opportunity to celebrate Dante, on the 700th anniversary of his death.
