It is implemented by the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UN\/DESA) and targets post-graduate Italian nationals.<\/p>\n<p>Through this Programme, young skilled professionals are selected for a one-year on-the-job training in developing countries in offices of Organizations belonging to the United Nations System. Before taking up their assignment in the host country, Fellows attend a mandatory orientation workshop, which is an integral part of the Programme.<\/p>\n<p>The <u>tentative<\/u> timeframe for the <strong>2024 &#8211; 2025 round <\/strong>of the Programme is as follows:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em>April 2025<\/em>: orientation workshop<\/li>\n<li><em>May 2025 \u2013 April 2026<\/em>: work experience \/ on-the-job training period in a UN Field Office.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To be considered eligible, all of the following requirements are mandatory:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>born <em>on<\/em> or <em>after<\/em> 1 January 1996<\/li>\n<li>Italian nationality<\/li>\n<li>Fluency in English <u>and<\/u> Italian<\/li>\n<li>advanced university degree, awarded\u00a0before\u00a0the application deadline, such as:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><em>Laurea Magistrale\/Specialistica<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Laurea Magistrale a ciclo unico<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>University Master\u2019s degree awarded after a Laurea\/Laurea Triennale<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>University Master\u2019s degree awarded after a Bachelor\u2019s degree<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>For practical advice on preparing an application to the Italian Fellowships Programme, candidates are invited to attend a Webinar on one of the following dates (N.B. prior online enrolment is mandatory via <a href=\"http:\/\/www.undesa.it\">www.undesa.it<\/a> ):<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em>Thursday 12 September 2024 (10:30 a.m.)<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Friday 20 September 2024 (5:00 p.m.)<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Monday 30 September 2024 (10:30 a.m.)<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Tuesday 8 October 2024 (5:00 p.m.)<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The deadline for application submission is <strong>16 October 2024<\/strong> at <strong>3:00 p.m.<\/strong> (Italian local time). Incomplete or late applications will not be considered valid.<\/p>\n<p>Applications can only be submitted online via the \u2018<em>Online Web Application<\/em>\u2019 system (OWA) of the UN\/DESA Rome Office.
