Legally established within the Ministry in 2013, the Association is committed to protecting and promoting the rights of LGBTQ+ individuals both within the public administration and in international relations.<\/p>\n<p>The association is inspired by the principles enshrined in <strong>Article 21 of the Charter of Fundamental Rights of the European Union<\/strong>, which prohibits any form of discrimination based on sex, race, skin colour, ethnic or social origin, genetic characteristics, language, religion, personal beliefs, political opinions, membership of a national minority, property, birth, disability, age, or sexual orientation.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Aims and Objectives<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Globe-MAE Association aims to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Uphold the principles of Article 21 of the EU Charter<\/strong> and promote non-discrimination both within MAECI and in the international arena.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Ensure legal and economic equality<\/strong> for all MAECI personnel, guaranteeing that the principles of inclusion and non-discrimination are effectively implemented.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Promote LGBTQ+ rights in international relations<\/strong>, supporting Italy\u2019s commitment to protecting LGBTQ+ individuals in multilateral and bilateral contexts.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Advocate for the values of equality, freedom, and non-discrimination<\/strong> in all areas of MAECI\u2019s activities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Activities<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Globe-MAE carries out various initiatives to raise awareness, promote, and defend LGBTQ+ rights within MAECI and international diplomacy.
