{"id":45866,"date":"2021-07-07T13:16:30","date_gmt":"2021-07-07T11:16:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.esteri.it\/opportunita\/nella_ue\/nelle_istituzioni\/taiex\/"},"modified":"2026-05-12T12:09:00","modified_gmt":"2026-05-12T10:09:00","slug":"taiex","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.esteri.it\/en\/servizi-opportunita\/opportunita\/nella_ue\/opportunita_per_dipendenti_pubblici\/taiex\/","title":{"rendered":"The TAIEX Program"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>What is TAIEX?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/enlargement.ec.europa.eu\/funding-technical-assistance\/taiex_en\">TAIEX<\/a> (Technical Assistance and Information Exchange Instrument) is a technical assistance and institution-building instrument for the countries of the Western Balkans, the Southern Neighborhood, and the Eastern Neighborhood of the EU, as well as for countries around the world.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The purpose of TAIEX<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This rapid and flexibly deployable instrument is designed to provide short-term technical assistance to public administrations in third countries, facilitating their alignment with the EU acquis, primarily in the following areas: Agriculture and Food Safety, Freedom, Justice, Security, Environment, Transport, Energy, and the Internal Market. Officials from EU Member State public administrations or officials from bodies accredited by the Commission as quasi-public bodies, known as Mandated Bodies, provide to the beneficiaries the required expertise.<\/p>\n<p><strong>How to Apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>To participate in a TAIEX event, experts must first register in the dedicated database established by the Commission&#8217;s TAIEX Unit (EU Login).<\/p>\n<p>A direct request from the beneficiary public administration initiates a search for the desired expertise among EU Member State institutions.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Types of Technical Assistance<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The assistance provided can be of three types:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Workshops<\/strong>: Officials from EU Member States present specific areas of EU legislation during seminars attended by officials from the beneficiary countries&#8217; administrations.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Expert Missions<\/strong>: One or more experts from EU Member States are sent to the beneficiary countries&#8217; administrations to provide in-depth advice on the transposition of specific European regulations into national legislation, the implementation of EU rules and regulations, and their application in their respective administrations.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Study Visits<\/strong>: A small group (up to five) of officials from the beneficiary administration of the third country travels on a study visit to an EU Member State.
