What are the requirements to get a visa?<\/button><\/h2>\n<div id=\"collapse5\" class=\"accordion-collapse collapse\" role=\"region\" aria-labelledby=\"heading5\">\n<div class=\"accordion-body\">\n<p>To obtain a student visa to attend an Italian language course, the course must be of a higher level, full-time, and of a fixed duration.<\/p>\n<p>A useful tool for showcasing language skills is certification of language proficiency, in line with the \u201cCommon European Framework of Reference for Languages\u201d. For further information on the certifications of Italian as a foreign language, you can consult the webpage <a href=\"https:\/\/www.esteri.it\/en\/temi\/diplomazia_culturale\/promozionelinguaitaliana\/certificazioni-linguistiche\/\">Certification<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"accordion-item\">\n<h2 id=\"heading6\" class=\"accordion-header \"><button class=\"accordion-button collapsed\" type=\"button\" data-bs-toggle=\"collapse\" data-bs-target=\"#collapse6\" aria-expanded=\"false\" aria-controls=\"collapse6\">What financial resources do I need to prove to obtain a student visa?<\/button><\/h2>\n<div id=\"collapse6\" class=\"accordion-collapse collapse\" role=\"region\" aria-labelledby=\"heading6\">\n<div class=\"accordion-body\">\n<p>With reference to the academic years 2026-2027 and 2027-2028, if you apply for a visa to enroll in an Italian university, you must demonstrate you have a minimum amount of financial resources equal to \u20ac 10.179,85 a year. If your studies are staggered over more years, you only need to prove you have these financial resources for the first year. For all the other types of student visa, with a view to knowing the amount of financial resources required, you must refer to\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.esteri.it\/en\/servizi-opportunita\/stranieri\/ingressosoggiornoinitalia\/mezzi_finanziari\/tabella_mezzi_sussistenza\">Table A of the Directive issued by the Ministry for Internal Affairs on March 1, 2000<\/a>, providing for a fixed amount and a daily amount. Hence the total amount varies depending on the length of stay for study purposes.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"accordion-item\">\n<h2 id=\"heading7\" class=\"accordion-header \"><button class=\"accordion-button collapsed\" type=\"button\" data-bs-toggle=\"collapse\" data-bs-target=\"#collapse7\" aria-expanded=\"false\" aria-controls=\"collapse7\">Can I prove to have the necessary financial resources to obtain a student visa with a bank guarantee?<\/button><\/h2>\n<div id=\"collapse7\" class=\"accordion-collapse collapse\" role=\"region\" aria-labelledby=\"heading7\">\n<div class=\"accordion-body\">No, you cannot. In the case of stays for study purposes, the bank guarantee or the insurance policy do not fall within the list of documents deemed suitable for demonstrating you have adequate financial resources. You need to have personal or family guarantees or financial guarantees provided by Italian institutions and organizations (including universities), by local governments or by foreign institutions and organizations deemed reliable by the Italian diplomatic mission.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"accordion-item\">\n<h2 id=\"heading8\" class=\"accordion-header \"><button class=\"accordion-button collapsed\" type=\"button\" data-bs-toggle=\"collapse\" data-bs-target=\"#collapse8\" aria-expanded=\"false\" aria-controls=\"collapse8\">In order to prove the financial resources for the student visa, are financial guarantees provided in favor of the student by a person who is not part of the family unit valid?<\/button><\/h2>\n<div id=\"collapse8\" class=\"accordion-collapse collapse\" role=\"region\" aria-labelledby=\"heading8\">\n<div class=\"accordion-body\">\n<p>Regularly admitted students applying for a study-university enrollment visa must demonstrate that their family has sufficient financial means to support their studies in Italy. If somebody outside the family (associations, friends, or relatives residing in Italy) guarantees their maintenance with a declaration of hospitality and a written commitment (while demonstrating the necessary resources), this constitutes a positive, but not decisive, factor for obtaining the visa. The final decision rests with the local visa offices.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"accordion-item\">\n<h2 id=\"heading9\" class=\"accordion-header\"><button class=\"accordion-button collapsed\" type=\"button\" data-bs-toggle=\"collapse\" data-bs-target=\"#collapse9\" aria-expanded=\"false\" aria-controls=\"collapse9\">I have been admitted to a multi-year university course, but the embassy issued me a one-year visa. What shall I do for the following years? The visa is the authorization to enter Italy for the first time with the motivation shown on the visa label (student visa for enrolling in a university, in this specific case). Within 8 days since entry into Italy, you must apply for a residence permit (<em>permesso di soggiorno<\/em>) at the immigration office of the <em>questura<\/em> competent for the municipality of residence. The residence permit is the document that makes your presence in Italy legal.\u00a0It must be renewed before it expires.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"accordion-item\">\n<h2 id=\"heading10\" class=\"accordion-header \"><button class=\"accordion-button collapsed\" type=\"button\" data-bs-toggle=\"collapse\" data-bs-target=\"#collapse10\" aria-expanded=\"false\" aria-controls=\"collapse10\">I graduated abroad.
