{"id":47987,"date":"2021-10-29T15:37:22","date_gmt":"2021-10-29T13:37:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.esteri.it\/?page_id=47987"},"modified":"2021-11-15T11:15:49","modified_gmt":"2021-11-15T10:15:49","slug":"l-italia-e-l-osce","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.esteri.it\/en\/politica-estera-e-cooperazione-allo-sviluppo\/organizzazioni_internazionali\/osce\/l-italia-e-l-osce\/","title":{"rendered":"Italy and the OSCE"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>From the beginnings in 1975 of the CSCE (Conference for Security and Cooperation in Europe, which became the OSCE in 1995), Italy has provided strong support for the Organisation\u2019s role, for the purposes of maintaining security in the huge region that stretches \u201cfrom Vancouver to Vladivostok\u201d, and for promoting dialogue and cooperation between all the Member Countries.<\/p>\n<p>Italy is now one of the Organisation\u2019s major contributors, financially and in terms of human resources.<\/p>\n<p>Our Country &#8211; along with the United Kingdom, France, the United States, and Germany &#8211; is one of the major contributors the the OSCE\u2019s ordinary budget. These ordinary contributions are in addition to those for paying for additional items for Italy\u2019s account, for Italian functionaries seconded to the OSCE, financing for Italian observers taking part in Missions to observe elections of the ODIHR, as well as the OSCE\u2019s off-budget projects.
