Under the umbrella of the 15th Italian Language in the World Week, Israel celebrates the memory of Herbert Pagani, one of the Jewish community of Libya\u2019s most talented Italian artists. The event, \u201cHerbert Pagani: la Parola, il Segno, il Canto”, will take place on Saturday evening at the Peres Center for Peace in Jaffa with the inauguration of the exhibition \u201cUno squarcio nel cielo\u201d curated by Pedatzur. A performance is to follow, with video, testimonials and songs featuring vocalists such as Marco Ferrandini and Anna Jencek, with special guest Miriam Meghnagi.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The event has been organised by the Italian embassy in Israel under the guidance of Ambassador Francesco Maria Tal\u00f2, the World Organisation of Libyan Jews with President Shimon Doron, and the Italian Cultural Institute of Tel Aviv. This year\u2019s edition of Italian Language Week is dedicated to the theme of the Italian language and music. Nothing more appropriate to commemorate the brief but intense life of this many-faceted artist \u2013 poet, writer, sculptor, painter and musician, who even tried his hand at television, and was able to express himself in both Italian and French.
