{"id":106036,"date":"2023-10-02T10:40:00","date_gmt":"2023-10-02T08:40:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.esteri.it\/sala_stampa\/archivionotizie\/\/2023\/10\/bahrein-in-mostra-la-storia-della-moda-italiana\/"},"modified":"2023-10-02T11:40:45","modified_gmt":"2023-10-02T09:40:45","slug":"bahrein-in-mostra-la-storia-della-moda-italiana","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.esteri.it\/en\/sala_stampa\/archivionotizie\/retediplomatica\/2023\/10\/bahrein-in-mostra-la-storia-della-moda-italiana\/","title":{"rendered":"Bahrain, the history of Italian fashion on show"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span lang=\"EN-GB\">The\u00a0<b>exhibition\u00a0<i>Racconti di moda italiana\u00a0<\/i><\/b><i>(<\/i>Tales of Italian Fashion), organised by the Italian Embassy in Bahrain, in collaboration with the Shaikh Ebrahim bin Mohammed Al Khalifa Centre for Culture and Research, inaugurated at the Bin Matar House in Muharraq, Manama, was a great success.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-GB\">The exhibition, devised by\u00a0<b>Stefano Dominella<\/b>, Honorary President of the\u00a0<i>Gattinoni<\/i>\u00a0fashion house, aimed to celebrate the excellence of Italian fashion, which, thanks to the creativity of its design, beauty, quality and sustainability of production processes, spreads the prestige of \u201cMade in Italy\u201d around the world.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-GB\">The\u00a0<b>Italian Ambassador in Manama, Paola Amadei<\/b>, said: &#8220;<i>The exceptional participation of the public this evening reaffirms the genuine passion of Bahrainis for \u201cMade in Italy\u201d, for Italian fashion and the immense and priceless heritage of creativity, skills, refinement and innovation it traditionally expresses. It is not surprising, in fact, that fashion is one of the main items of Italian exports not only in Bahrain but worldwide.\u201d<\/i>\u00a0Ambassador Amadei concluded: \u201dA<i>rtistic ingenuity, attention to detail, attention to the quality and sustainability of fabrics and production processes, as well as its history, give Italian fashion an extraordinary quality of excellence and beauty\u201d.\u00a0<\/i><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-GB\">The exhibition\u00a0<i>Racconti di Moda italiana<\/i>\u00a0took the form of an\u00a0<b>astonishing display<\/b>\u00a0of never-before-shown garments and materials, in a creative-craft itinerary suitable for both professionals and the ordinary public. Through never-before-seen creations from the historical archives of Stefano Dominella and Gattinoni, made with workmanship that wrote the most important pages in the history of international fashion, the exhibition attracted numerous visitors.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-GB\">Among the creations on display, the public could admire a collection of the original dresses worn by Hollywood divas, including the dress worn by Audrey Hepburn in the 1956 film\u00a0<i>War and Peace<\/i>\u00a0and that of Anita Ekberg in the iconic Italian film\u00a0<i>La Dolce Vita<\/i>, directed by Federico Fellini in 1960.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-GB\">Also on display are creations by numerous Italian designers, including Giorgio Armani, Guillermo Mariotto, Dolce and Gabbana, Missoni, Valentino Garavani, Etro, Gianfranco Ferr\u00e8, Irene Galitzine, Gianni Versace, Roberto Cavalli, Pino Lancetti and some of the most important fashion designers of the 1950s such as Emilio Schuberth, Tita Rossi and Jole Veneziani.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"The\u00a0exhibition\u00a0Racconti di moda italiana\u00a0(Tales of Italian Fashion), organised by the Italian Embassy in Bahrain, in collaboration with the Shaikh Ebrahim bin Mohammed Al Khalifa Centre for Culture and Research, inaugurated at the Bin Matar House in Muharraq, Manama, was a great success.
