Die sanfte Revolution der venezianischen Malerei<\/strong>\u201d organised at the <strong>Alte Pinakothek of Munich<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The show, sponsored by the Italian Embassy and <strong>Generali<\/strong>, focuses on the <strong>revolutionary innovation of Venetian painting in the Renaissance period. <\/strong>It includes 15 artworks from the Munich collection and around 70 international loans of works of art from famous painters such as <strong>Giovanni Bellini, Giorgione, Palma Vecchio, Lorenzo Lotto, Tiziano and Tintoretto<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cVenetian painting \u2013 said Ambassador Varricchio \u2013 have left deep traces in Europe\u2019s history of art: the artworks of Giorgione, Tiziano, Palma il Vecchio, and Giovanni Bellini have revolutionised the artistic paradigms of that time and enabled the dissemination of an innovative approach to painting. This momentum towards innovation is reflected in the distinctive traits of Serenissima, its industrious inhabitants and Maestros, characteristic that permeates the exhibition. Moreover, \u2013 he added \u2013 the event also offers a chance to discuss the topical balance between men, history and nature, which also was at the core of discussions 500 years ago. I would also like to underline that this renowned institution in Munich is the perfect place to house such an initiative, given the industrial nature of the city, its creativity and openness to the world, which make it a privileged meeting and cultural venue for our Countries and respective citizens\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Among the attendees at the event were <strong>Bernhard Maaz<\/strong>, Director General of Bayerische Staatsgem\u00e4ldesammlungen and <strong>Andreas Schuhmacher<\/strong>, Director of the Art Collection at the Alte Pinakothek of Munich.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"The Ambassador of Italy to Germany, Armando Varricchio, held a speech at the opening of the exhibition \u201cVenezia 500.
