Common commitment to Libyan stability<\/STRONG><\/P> Gentiloni reported that the meeting had \u201cconfirmed our common awareness of the risks of a Libya divided or at war, and both countries\u2019 common interest in Tripoli\u2019s greater stabilisation through more robust support for mediation efforts\u201d. The minister recalled that European, American and UN efforts to stem extremists and prevent terrorism ran parallel with those of allied Arab countries of which the Emirates are one of the principal driving forces. The two ministers also discussed Syria and the common fight against ISIS, in addition to the need to jumpstart peace talks between Israel and the PNA.<\/P> Bilateral relations<\/STRONG><\/P> The meeting, devoted to bilateral relations and regional policies, took place one month on from UAE Crown Prince Mohammad bin Zayed al Nahyan visit to Italy. It confirmed a bolstering of political-strategic relations between Rome and Abu Dhabi and \u201cgave impetus\u201d, he added, \u201cto many open UAE-Italy bilateral collaboration projects\u201d.
