During the conference, a <strong>cooperation protocol between MAECI and Federazione Italiana Cuochi<\/strong> will be signed.<\/p>\n<p>Now in its eighth edition, the Week of the Italian Cuisine in the World is an <strong>integrated promotion initiative<\/strong> that aims to showcase the excellence of the <strong>Italian<\/strong> <strong>food and wine sector<\/strong> abroad, supporting exports, internationalisation and incoming tourist flows.<\/p>\n<p>In this regard, over <strong>9,200 initiatives<\/strong> have been carried out from 2016 to date by the network of Italian Embassies, Consulates, and Cultural Institutes <strong>in more than one hundred countries<\/strong>, including in-depth seminars on the Mediterranean diet, meetings with economic operators in the sector, training and demonstration classes, and meetings with chefs. <strong>More than one thousand initiatives<\/strong> are planned for the <strong>2023<\/strong> edition. Among these, <strong><em>\u2018Italianismi nel mondo\u2019<\/em> <\/strong>(Italianisms in the world), in collaboration with Casa Artusi; <strong><em>\u2018Storia della cucina italiana a fumetti\u2019<\/em><\/strong> (History of Italian cuisine in comics), in collaboration with Accademia Italiana della Cucina; as well as a <strong>project for the promotion of Italian olive oil and wine in Africa<\/strong>, in collaboration with Gambero Rosso, will be presented in several countries.
