{"id":108038,"date":"2023-11-15T11:55:32","date_gmt":"2023-11-15T10:55:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.esteri.it\/sala_stampa\/archivionotizie\/\/2023\/11\/ucraina-la-cucina-italiana-al-servizio-della-solidarieta\/"},"modified":"2023-11-15T13:38:30","modified_gmt":"2023-11-15T12:38:30","slug":"ucraina-la-cucina-italiana-al-servizio-della-solidarieta","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.esteri.it\/en\/sala_stampa\/archivionotizie\/retediplomatica\/2023\/11\/ucraina-la-cucina-italiana-al-servizio-della-solidarieta\/","title":{"rendered":"Ukraine, Italian cuisine at the service of solidarity"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In <strong>Ukraine<\/strong>, the <strong>Week of the Italian Cuisine in the World<\/strong> has a special significance: that of <strong>solidarity<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn the light of the dramatic context of Russian aggression, and the strong desire of the Ukrainian people for a return to normality, in Kyiv we are interpreting this year&#8217;s theme in a social key: well-being with taste\u201d, said the Italian Ambassador <strong>Pier Francesco Zazo<\/strong>. \u201c<strong>Italy<\/strong>\u201d, he added, \u201c<strong>is carrying out a programme of concretely useful initiatives in Ukraine<\/strong>, to express <strong>closeness to the population<\/strong> by using our country&#8217;s <strong>culinary culture<\/strong> and the <strong>excellence of our agri-food products<\/strong>, which are much loved here\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cItalian cuisine\u201d, Ambassador Zazo stressed, \u201cincorporates within itself the genius of knowing how to build a superfine taste on the basis of <strong>simple and common ingredients<\/strong>: this is also the secret of its success around the world, as well as a <strong>key to resilience<\/strong> that we are proud to spread in Ukraine, as further evidence of the great solidarity of our country\u201d.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Four culinary masterclasses<\/strong> are planned during the week as part of the \u201c<strong>Taste of Peace<\/strong>\u201d programme, developed by the <strong>Communitas Toscana Association<\/strong> and aimed at <strong>young Ukrainians<\/strong>, especially internally displaced persons. Specially flown in from Italy, pizza-chef <strong>Stefano Canosci<\/strong> will transfer the best of his skills in the field to the young professionals, proposing recipes that are inexpensive, simple and based on ingredients that can be found even in a context where the availability of products is limited.<\/p>\n<p>Closing the Week, the event \u201c<strong>Sapori di pace \u2013 Curare con gusto<\/strong>\u201d (Flavours of Peace &#8211; Treating with Taste) will be held at the <strong>Main Medical Centre of the Ukrainian Ministry of Internal Affairs<\/strong>: Ambassador Zazo and Apostolic Nuncio <strong>Visvaldas Kulbokas<\/strong>, together with a group of volunteers, will bring the comfort of traditional Italian flavours to <strong>one hundred Ukrainian soldiers being treated<\/strong>, wounded in the war.<\/p>\n<p>The initiatives are realised thanks to the <strong>Communitas Toscana<\/strong> Association, in cooperation with the Italian company <strong>Agugiaro &amp; Figna Molini<\/strong>, as well as the <strong>Association of Culinary Workers of Ukraine<\/strong>, the main Ukrainian organisation of chefs, the social organisation <strong>Ho.Re.Ca.
