Guest of honour will be Chef <strong>Giuseppe D&#8217;Alessio<\/strong> of the <strong>Settimo<\/strong> restaurant in Rome.<\/p>\n<p>The events were organised together with the <strong>Italian Cultural Institute<\/strong> and the <strong>Italian Trade Agency &#8211; ICE<\/strong> with the aim of enhancing the Italian gastronomic scenario, which is internationally recognised as one of the indelible marks of Italy in the world, in a friendly Mediterranean country. In addition, thanks to the <strong>direct involvement of the Algerian authorities<\/strong>, a <strong>collaboration<\/strong> has been set up with several <strong>Algerian public and private restaurants <\/strong>and events have been promoted in the <strong>national School of Hospitality and Catering \u201cESHRA\u201d<\/strong> as well as in the <strong>Italian school \u201cRoma\u201d<\/strong> and in a public school in the heart of the Casbah of Algiers.<\/p>\n<p>The programme was completed by a <strong>television interview on the economic channel Al-Iktisadia<\/strong> with the Italian Ambassador to Algeria, <strong>Giovanni Pugliese<\/strong>, and a cooking show on the popular <strong>national television<\/strong> programme <strong>Samira TV<\/strong> to share some of the secrets of the most important traditional Italian recipes with the Algerian public.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"On the occasion of the Week of the Italian Cuisine in the World, the Italian Embassy in Algiers has devised a programme full of activities to present and illustrate the Italian culinary and gastronomic tradition.
