The work, promoted and realised by the <strong>Italian Embassy in Uruguay<\/strong>, highlighted the importance of the <strong>traditions handed down over the years by the Italian emigrants <\/strong>who arrived in Uruguay since the beginning of the 19th century.\u00a0 The central contribution to the work was provided by <strong>17 associations<\/strong>, most of them of <strong>regional origin<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The presentation was attended by Ambassador <strong>Giovanni Iannuzzi<\/strong>, along with communicator and chef <strong>Sergio Puglia<\/strong> and editor <strong>Cristina Dalla Vecchia<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Together with the book presentation, during this week the Embassy and the Italian Cultural Institute organised presentations on the <strong>after-meal culture<\/strong> and traditions related to <strong>Parmigiano Reggiano<\/strong>, a dinner in one of Montevideo&#8217;s most important hotels, and a meal served in a popular canteen, both organised by teachers and students from the last years of the <strong>\u201cAncel Keys\u201d Institute of Higher Education<\/strong> in Castelnuovo di Cilento.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/ambmontevideo.esteri.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/13-11-2023altaLaCocinaItalianaenUruguay.pdf\"><strong>Click here to download the book free of charge.<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"As part of the Week of the Italian Cuisine in the World, the book La cucina italiana in Uruguay \u2013 un\u2019eredit\u00e0 di sapori e tradizioni (Italian cuisine in Uruguay &#8211; a legacy of flavours and traditions) was presented yesterday at the Italian Cultural Institute of Montevideo.
