The Minister of Science, Research and Arts of the State of Baden-W\u00fcrttemberg,\u00a0<b>Petra Olschowski<\/b>, and the Consul General in Stuttgart,\u00a0<b>Massimiliano Lagi<\/b>, were also present at the opening ceremony.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-GB\">This is the first exhibition Germany has dedicated to the artist since 2009. Ambassador Varrichio said: &#8220;Modigliani was the European artist\u00a0<i>par excellence<\/i>; his cosmopolitan, open and creative vision influenced art throughout the continent.\u201d He added: \u201cThe exhibition also aims to be the bearer of a completely innovative perspective, focused on the role of women, who are the main protagonists in Modigliani&#8217;s works, without ever a shadow of subordination. I am particularly pleased that, through the artist\u2019s unconventional gaze, visitors will be able to reflect on such crucial concepts as the women\u2019s condition, role and dignity, just a few days before the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women.&#8221;<\/span><span lang=\"EN-GB\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-GB\">On the occasion of his visit to Stuttgart, the Ambassador also visited the\u00a0<b>Forschungsinstitut f\u00fcr Kraftfahrwesen und Fahrzeugmotoren<\/b>\u00a0(FKFS), a prestigious research and development centre in the automotive sector and a sought-after partner of the international automotive industry for projects in the fields of powertrain systems, engineering, mechatronics, and mobility in general.
