British Al Jazeera correspondent Barbara Serra, of Sardinian descent, was among the winners of the \u201cTalented Young Italians\u201d awards conferred this evening by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the United Kingdom, in collaboration with the Embassy of Italy in London. This first edition of the event was also the official opening of the 36th edition of the annual conference of chambers of commerce, where Italian Minister for the Economy Pier Carlo Padoan will be participating tomorrow in a conversation on stage with Britain\u2019s Chancellor of the Exchequer George Osborne. Prizes were awarded at Church House, a few steps from Westminster, in four categories: \u201cfinance and services, \u201cindustry and trade\u201d, \u201cresearch and innovation\u201d and \u201cmedia and communication\u201d. Ambassador of Italy Pasquale Terracciano congratulated the winners, saying that \u201cthese young people are the stem cells of our country\u201d.
