Italy\u2019s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Antonio Tajani, will be in Emilia-Romagna tomorrow and Saturday to meet with companies operating in the territory.<\/p>\n
The visit is part of the \u201cGrowth Diplomacy\u201d initiatives aimed at fostering the internationalisation of businesses and the promotion of Italian exports.<\/p>\n
Minister Tajani is scheduled to visit Bologna, Faenza, Ferrara, Forl\u00ec, Formigine, Rimini and Sassuolo.<\/p>\n
With a productive fabric consisting of about 372 thousand companies, of which about 20 thousand are exporters, Emilia-Romagna ranks second in Italy in terms of the value of goods exported, totalling more than 84 billion euros in 2022 (+14.6%). In the first nine months of 2023, exports grew further, reaching 64 billion.<\/p>\n
\u201cAfter the devastating flood that hit the region on 21 November, the Government intervened by disbursing more than 21 million euros to support affected businesses\u201d, said Tajani. \u201cWe are working hard to quickly make up for the delays lamented by some entrepreneurs, while always observing all the necessary steps to ensure the regularity of the procedures\u201d, he added, recalling the provision of up to 700 million euro in export funding. \u201cThe Italian Government and Ministry of Foreign Affairs are actively working to offer support to companies in difficulty.
