{"id":110478,"date":"2024-01-15T12:17:22","date_gmt":"2024-01-15T11:17:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.esteri.it\/sala_stampa\/archivionotizie\/\/2024\/01\/grecia-una-mostra-sui-navigatori-del-vecchio-continente\/"},"modified":"2024-01-15T14:22:45","modified_gmt":"2024-01-15T13:22:45","slug":"grecia-una-mostra-sui-navigatori-del-vecchio-continente","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.esteri.it\/en\/sala_stampa\/archivionotizie\/diplomazia-culturale\/2024\/01\/grecia-una-mostra-sui-navigatori-del-vecchio-continente\/","title":{"rendered":"Greece, an exhibition on the navigators of the Old Continent"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>An exhibition entitled \u201c<strong>Seafarers of the Old Continent \u2013 Greek sailors with Columbus and Magellan<\/strong>\u201d will be inaugurated today, 15 January, in Greece, at the \u201cMikis Theodorakis\u201d auditorium of the <strong>Municipality of Papagou-Cholargos<\/strong>, the result of the cultural cooperation between Greece, Italy and Spain, organised in collaboration with the <strong>Italian Embassy<\/strong> and the <strong>Spanish Embassy<\/strong> in Athens, the <strong>Italian Cultural Institute<\/strong> and the <strong>Cervantes Institute<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The exhibition, which will remain open to the public until 2 February 2024, is a combination of <strong>two separate exhibitions<\/strong>, an Italian one on the discovery of America by Columbus and a Spanish one on the first circumnavigation of the Earth by Magellan; both expeditions carried out on behalf of the Spanish crown.
