Today, Italian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Antonio Tajani, had a telephone conversation with the new French Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, St\u00e9phane S\u00e9journ\u00e9.<\/p>\n
The two ministers first of all addressed the situation in the Red Sea. “Italy will propose to the next Foreign Affairs Council, to be held on Monday in Brussels, a European response that will guarantee the safety of shipping lines in the region. This is a priority, also to protect the exports of our companies, considering that 40% of our maritime trade transits through the Suez Canal”.<\/p>\n
Tajani also outlined the priorities of the G7 Presidency in 2024, in particular, the commitment to support Ukraine, to achieve a just peace, relations with Africa and artificial intelligence.<\/p>\n
