{"id":112324,"date":"2024-02-12T12:12:32","date_gmt":"2024-02-12T11:12:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.esteri.it\/sala_stampa\/archivionotizie\/\/2024\/02\/madrid-mostra-mimetica-riflessi-e-rifrazioni-ceramiche-di-anastasio\/"},"modified":"2024-02-12T14:19:38","modified_gmt":"2024-02-12T13:19:38","slug":"madrid-mostra-mimetica-riflessi-e-rifrazioni-ceramiche-di-anastasio","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.esteri.it\/en\/sala_stampa\/archivionotizie\/diplomazia-culturale\/2024\/02\/madrid-mostra-mimetica-riflessi-e-rifrazioni-ceramiche-di-anastasio\/","title":{"rendered":"Madrid, exhibition &#8220;Mimetica- Riflessi e rifrazioni ceramiche\u201d by Anastasio"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On the occasion of the <strong>Madrid Design Festival 2024<\/strong>, the <strong>Italian Cultural Institute of Madrid <\/strong>presents the exhibition \u201c<strong><em>Mimetica<\/em>&#8211; <em>Riflessi e rifrazioni ceramiche<\/em><\/strong>\u201d by <strong>Andrea Anastasio.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The extraordinary work of Andrea Anastasio &#8211; an internationally renowned Italian philosopher, designer and artist &#8211; focuses on the relationship between tradition and modernity and on the exploration of the forms of the past as a way of existing in one&#8217;s own time and of generating new utopias.<\/p>\n<p>Along these lines, the exhibition &#8211; which has <strong>ceramics<\/strong> as its protagonist &#8211; brings together a series of works created by Andrea Anastasio since 2018, the year in which he took up the post of Artistic Director of <em>Ceramica Gatti 1928<\/em>, a historic \u201cworkshop\u201d in Faenza, together with some creations made for <em>Foscarini<\/em>, a renowned Italian light design company.<\/p>\n<p>In dialogue with the present, the exhibition also displays three Islamic ceramics of the 12th and 18th centuries from the collections of the Museum of Oriental Art in Turin.<\/p>\n<p>The exhibition, open to the public <strong>from 10 February to 2 March 2024<\/strong> at the Italian Cultural Institute in Madrid, also displays the works <strong>Light Thread<\/strong>, created during the didactic workshop held by Andrea Anastasio in the second half of 2023 at the ESCUELA T\u00c9CNICA SUPERIOR of the University of Navarra in Pamplona, thanks to a collaboration agreement between the prestigious Spanish university and the Italian Cultural Institute in Madrid.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"On the occasion of the Madrid Design Festival 2024, the Italian Cultural Institute of Madrid presents the exhibition \u201cMimetica&#8211; Riflessi e rifrazioni ceramiche\u201d by Andrea Anastasio.
