McCain<\/strong>\u00a0and the Secretary General of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC)\u00a0<strong>Jagan Chapagain<\/strong>\u00a0on <strong>Monday 11 March 2024, at 6:30 p.m.,<\/strong> to launch\u00a0<strong>the \u201cFood for Gaza\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0initiative.<\/p>\n<p>The meeting will be followed by a\u00a0<strong>press point<\/strong>\u00a0held in the <em>Sala Mosaici<\/em> at the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.<\/p>\n<p>Since the beginning of the conflict, Italy has been at the forefront in providing humanitarian assistance to the population of Gaza, delivering relief goods and giving assistance to people in need of medical assistance, including minors and their families. The \u201cFood for Gaza\u201d initiative, led by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs together with the FAO, WFP and the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC), is aimed at facilitating access to food aid, alleviating the suffering of the population and ensuring food security in the Gaza Strip.<\/p>\n<p>The press point will be\u00a0<strong>streamed<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Journalists, photographers and cameramen interested in attending the press point may apply for accreditation by sending a request\u00a0<strong>by Monday 11 March at 12:00 p.m.<\/strong>\u00a0to\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:accreditamentostampa@esteri.it\">accreditamentostampa@esteri.it<\/a>\u00a0(tel. 06 3691 3432 \u2013 8573 or 3078), attaching the following:<\/p>\n<p>For representatives of Italian press organisations:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>copy of an identity document<\/li>\n<li>letter of assignment from the newspaper of affiliation or \u2013 in the absence of the latter \u2013 copy of professional identity card.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>For representatives of foreign press organisations, not accredited at the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>copy of an identity document;<\/li>\n<li>letter from the newspaper of affiliation;<\/li>\n<li>Verbal note of the Embassy in Rome of the country of the press organisation represented.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>For representatives of foreign press already accredited at the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the request must be sent with a copy of an identity document attached.<\/p>\n<p>Accredited journalists, photographers and cameramen may enter the Foreign Ministry from the main entrance, left side,\u00a0<strong>from 6:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on 11 March<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em>Submitting the above-mentioned personal data means authorising the use thereof in accordance with Italian Legislative Decree no. 196 of 30 June 2003 and the GDPR (EU Regulation 2016\/679) by the\u00a0<strong>Directorate General for Public and Cultural Diplomacy of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation<\/strong>, the data controller, for strictly professional purposes and\/or purposes related to the performance of the event in question.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"UPDATE OF PRESS ACCREDITATION NOTE \u2013 FOOD FOR GAZA FARNESINA \u2013 11 MARCH 2024 Italy\u2019s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation,\u00a0Antonio Tajani, will meet with FAO Director-General\u00a0Qu Dongyu, WFP Executive Director\u00a0Cindy H.
