Acting on behalf of Italy\u2019s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Antonio Tajani, Italy\u2019s Undersecretary of State to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Maria Tripodi signed with the Minister of Culture of the Republic of Korea Yu In Chon the Memorandum on the Year of Cultural Exchange between South Korea and Italy, which will run from 2024 to 2025. The celebrations will be opened tomorrow with a performance of Korean music and dance at the Teatro Argentina in Rome.<\/p>\n
\u201cCultural diplomacy will boost relations between Italy and South Korea for a year, with numerous events organised in both countries,\u201d commented the Undersecretary, mentioning, among others, the eight performances of Turandot, the concert by the Seoul Symphony Orchestra conducted by Maestro Beatrice Venezi, and the multimedia exhibition \u201cMirabilia-Mosaici\u201d (Mirabilia-Mosaics) devoted to an art form representative of Italy\u2019s excellence.<\/p>\n
The Memorandum is part of Italy\u2019s cultural diplomacy efforts in South Korea which cover areas of cooperation between the two countries, such as music, theatre, visual arts, cinema and the promotion of national literature.
