Antonio Tajani<\/strong>, the\u00a0<strong>European Commissioners in charge of International Partnerships and Neighbourhood Policies<\/strong>\u00a0(<em>on video<\/em>), the President of ICE Agency,\u00a0<strong>Matteo Zoppas<\/strong>, and the\u00a0<strong>organisations and institutions for the internationalisation of the Italian economic system<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>This will be followed by three panels on\u00a0<strong>Transport and Infrastructures, Climate and Energy, and Digital Sector,<\/strong>\u00a0in which officials from the Foreign Ministry and the European Commission, as well as leading Italian companies, will participate.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/commission.europa.eu\/strategy-and-policy\/priorities-2019-2024\/stronger-europe-world\/global-gateway_it\">Global Gateway<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>is the new European strategy to promote \u2013 in EU partner countries, and together with them \u2013\u00a0<strong>investment in sustainable infrastructure in the digital, energy and transport sectors<\/strong>\u00a0to foster connectivity and promote competitiveness and growth of the EU and partner countries worldwide, also through the strengthening of education, research and public health systems. It will also be a useful driver to catalyse investment to the benefit of the\u00a0<em>Mattei<\/em>\u00a0Plan for Africa projects.<\/p>\n<p>Global Gateway is the EU\u2019s contribution to the effort for\u00a0<strong>bridging the global infrastructure investment gap<\/strong>. It is in line with the commitment made by the G7 leaders in June 2021 to launch an Infrastructure Partnership to meet global infrastructure development needs.
