Italy\u2019s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Antonio Tajani opens today in Trieste the Italy-Serbia Business Forum dedicated to the topic \u201cGreen Transition: New Opportunities for Bilateral Cooperation\u201d.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe Italian Government has invested heavily in relaunching the Italian economic presence in the Western Balkans, a crucial area for the future of Europe, by preparing new financial instruments packages in support of Italian and Serbian companies,\u201d commented Tajani, who pointed out that Belgrade is now the first non-EU capital to host all the players of the Italian System \u2013 thanks to the opening of the SACE, SIMEST and CDP offices.<\/p>\n
\u201cWith this Forum, we want to further strengthen bilateral economic and trade relations, building on the success of the Business Forum organised in Belgrade in March 2023,\u201d the Minister added.<\/p>\n
Speakers at the plenary session will also include the Prime Minister of the Republic of Serbia Milo\u0161 Vu\u010devi\u0107, the Undersecretary at the Italian Ministry of Economy and Finance Sandra Savino, the President of the Foreign Affairs and Defence Committee of the Italian Senate Stefania Craxi, the President of the Friuli Venezia Giulia autonomous region Massimiliano Fedriga, and the Mayor of Trieste Roberto Dipiazza.<\/p>\n
Next, a session will be held in which the President of the Italian Trade Agency Matteo Zoppas, as well as representatives of SACE, Simest, Cassa Depositi e Prestiti, and Confindustria, together with their Serbian counterparts, will discuss opportunities for bilateral economic cooperation and financial instruments for internationalisation, and sign a series of agreements and understandings.<\/p>\n
Afterwards, three thematic round tables will be held, attended by the Italian Minister of the Environment and Energy Security Gilberto Pichetto Fratin, the CEO of Filiera Italia Luigi Scordamaglia, the Serbian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Environmental Protection Vujovi\u0107, the Minister of Mining and Energy \u0110edovi\u0107 Handanovi\u0107, the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management Martinovi\u0107, the Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure Vesi\u0107, and the Minister of Trade Momirovi\u0107. Finally, a B2B meeting session will take place in the afternoon, attended by over 170 Italian and 78 Serbian companies.<\/p>\n
