The purpose of the initiative, supported by our Consulate General in Hong Kong, is to offer universities, research centres and eventual foreign spin-offs a chance to promote and develop their innovative ideas in 5 key sectors \u2013 bio-technologies, environment, IT, electronics and precision engineering \u2013 using the HKSTPC\u2019s institutional and private-sector services, incubation infrastructures and contact network. Of the 250 proposals submitted by 26 local and foreign research centres and universities since the November 2013 start-date, approximately 70 have come from Italian sources.
