Italian Undersecretary of State to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Maria Tripodi is on a two-day mission to Peru. Accompanied by Ambassador Massimiliano Mazzanti, she spoke this morning at the Opening Ceremony of the southern school year of the \u2018Antonio Raimondi\u2019 and \u2018Dante Alighieri\u2019 Italian schools held in Lima.<\/p>\n

Among these is the 200th anniversary of the birth of Antonio Raimondi himself. He was an explorer, researcher, and scientist, the first person to conceive a new educational model, creating that fusion between Italian and Peruvian culture that today finds its highest expression here. School means study, knowledge, learning.<\/p>\n
