Through <strong>drawings, plans, photographs and projects<\/strong>, both the most famous and the lesser-known works are presented, thus showing Magistretti&#8217;s approach to urban planning and the historical-cultural context. In parallel, the exhibition celebrates Magistretti&#8217;s <strong>industrial design<\/strong>, highlighting the <strong>original sketches<\/strong> and <strong>catalogues of products<\/strong> that have become icons of Italian design, such as chairs, lamps, tables, beds and bookcases.<\/p>\n<p>A particular focus is made on the \u201c<strong>professional partnerships\u201d<\/strong> that Magistretti has established with some of the most important Italian and international design companies, such as <strong>Artemide, Cassina, De Padova, Flou<\/strong> and <strong>Oluce<\/strong>. Developed over a period of more than fifty years, these collaborations have contributed significantly to the definition and success of the Italian style in the world.<\/p>\n<p>Some of the most iconic objects, generously loaned by Italian manufacturers <strong>Artemide<\/strong> (<strong>Inlite Australia<\/strong>), <strong>De Pavova<\/strong> (<strong>Boffi Studio Sydney<\/strong>), <strong>Cassina<\/strong> (<strong>Mobilia<\/strong>) and <strong>Oluce<\/strong> (<strong>Euroluce<\/strong>), will be displayed at the centre of the exhibition, <strong>curated by Fondazione Magistretti<\/strong> with Maria Vittoria <strong>Capitanucci<\/strong>, and organised by the<strong> Italian Cultural Institute of Sydney<\/strong> in collaboration with the <strong>Embassy of Italy in Canberra<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Structured in three main sections: <strong>biography<\/strong>, <strong>architectural works<\/strong> and <strong>design objects<\/strong>, the exhibition offers a complete journey that retraces the essence of Vico Magistretti&#8217;s prolific and eclectic career, also through video interviews with Patricia <strong>Urquiola<\/strong> and Stefano <strong>Boeri<\/strong>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"The exhibition &#8220;Vico Magistretti \u2013 Architecture &amp; Design&#8221; retraces the sixty-year career of the famous architect and designer.
