Today we have brought the art of two Italian geniuses, Michelangelo <strong>Buonarroti<\/strong> and Raffaello <strong>Sanzio<\/strong>, to Tbilisi \u2013 this time in the form of a performance combining the <strong>figurative arts, music and theatre<\/strong>,\u201d said <strong>Ambassador of Italy<\/strong> to Georgia Massimiliano <strong>D\u2019Antuono<\/strong> to the numerous guests attending the event, organised yesterday by the <strong>Italian<\/strong> <strong>Embassy <\/strong>at the historical <strong>State Drama Theatre Kote Marjanishvili<\/strong> in Tbilisi.<\/p>\n<p>The Neapolitan theatre company <strong>\u201cTeatri 35\u201d<\/strong>, which has been active in the field of theatrical <strong>experimentation<\/strong> for more than 20 years, brought to the stage a \u2018tableaux vivants\u2019 performance, a tribute to the genius of <strong>Michelangelo\u2019s<\/strong> sculpture and the divine in <strong>Raphael\u2019s<\/strong> paintings. Thanks to the perfect balance of gestures, colours, visual perceptions and music, the audience was able to experience a new way of conceiving art and live a unique experience, immersing themselves in the works of the two great artists of the <strong>Italian Renaissance<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The actors (Gaetano <strong>Coccia<\/strong>, Francesco O. <strong>De Santis<\/strong>, Antonella <strong>Parrella<\/strong>, Nicola <strong>Varallo<\/strong>, Andrea <strong>Loffa<\/strong>, Vittoria <strong>Rejna Negri<\/strong> and Martina <strong>Mirco<\/strong>) \u2018brought to life\u2019 some <strong>20 of the most famous works by the two Italian geniuses<\/strong>, while pieces by the greatest Baroque composers including <strong>Vivaldi, Bach, Corelli, H\u00e4ndel<\/strong>, <strong>Merula<\/strong> and <strong>Locatelli<\/strong> were performed by Azerbaijani countertenor Ilham <strong>Nazarov<\/strong>, Georgian theorbist Giorgi <strong>Kuzanashvili<\/strong> and the <strong>State Chamber Orchestra \u2018Georgian Sinfonietta\u2019<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The show, whose performance in Georgia was made possible thanks to the support of TBC Bank, sponsor of the cultural activities promoted by the <strong>Italian<\/strong> <strong>Embassy <\/strong>in Georgia in 2024, is part of a promotional event organised by the <strong>Italian<\/strong> <strong>Embassy in Georgia<\/strong> on behalf of the <strong>Campania Region<\/strong>, to be held in the capital of Georgia in the autumn of 2024.
