Following this, contributions will be made by <strong>Monika Schmutz Kirg\u00f6z<\/strong>, Swiss Ambassador to Italy, <strong>Donatella Di Pietrantonio<\/strong>, winner of the 2024 Strega Prize, <strong>Massimo Bray<\/strong>, Director General of the Treccani Institute, <strong>Adriano Monti Buzzetti<\/strong>, President of the Centre for Books and Reading, <strong>Fabio del Giudice<\/strong>, Director General of the Italian Publishers Association, <strong>Elena Pasoli<\/strong>, Director of the Bologna Children\u2019s Book Fair, <strong>Silvia Tatti<\/strong>, President of the Association of Italianists, and <strong>Alessandro De Pedys<\/strong>, Director General for Public and Cultural Diplomacy at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.<\/p>\n<p>Launched in 2001, the Week of the Italian Language in the World is organised annually by the diplomatic-consular network and the Italian Cultural Institutes in cooperation with traditional language promotion partners (Ministry of Education, Ministry of University and Research, Ministry of Culture, Swiss Embassy, Accademia della Crusca, Cepell, CGIE, Italian-speaking Broadcasting Community, RAI, Dante Alighieri Society, and Treccani).<\/p>\n<p>In a year of particular importance for the international profile of Italian publishing \u2013 marked by Italy\u2019s participation as Guest of Honour at the International Book Fairs in Tunis, Warsaw, and Frankfurt \u2013 the 2024 edition will focus on the theme \u201c<strong>Italian and Books: The World Between the Lines\u201d.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Journalists, photographers and cameramen interested in attending may apply for accreditation by sending a request <strong>by Monday 7 October at 3:00 p.m.<\/strong> to <a href=\"mailto:accreditamentostampa@esteri.it\">accreditamentostampa@esteri.it<\/a> (tel. 06 3691 3432 \u2013 3078, 8210 or 8573), attaching the following:<\/p>\n<p>For representatives of Italian press organisations:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>copy of an identity document;<\/li>\n<li>letter of assignment from the newspaper of affiliation or &#8211;
