{"id":125360,"date":"2024-10-22T18:29:12","date_gmt":"2024-10-22T16:29:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.esteri.it\/sala_stampa\/archivionotizie\/\/2024\/10\/dichiarazione-umanitaria-di-pescara\/"},"modified":"2024-10-22T19:31:11","modified_gmt":"2024-10-22T17:31:11","slug":"dichiarazione-umanitaria-di-pescara","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.esteri.it\/en\/sala_stampa\/archivionotizie\/comunicati\/2024\/10\/dichiarazione-umanitaria-di-pescara\/","title":{"rendered":"Pescara Humanitarian Chair&#8217;s Statement"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">In the framework of the G7 Development Ministers&#8217;<\/span>Meeting in Pescara, the Italian G7 presidency invited representatives from Lebanon, Palestine and Israel to attend a Humanitarian Conference to assess the urgent <span class=\"s1\">humanitarian needs in the region and accelerate coordination <\/span>to alleviate the suffering of the civilian population.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The event allowed participants to have an in-depth \u00a0<\/span><span class=\"s1\">exchange of views with each of the guests from the region &#8211; including <\/span>organizations operating on the ground &#8211; to jointly the humanitarian repercussions of the crises in Lebanon and Gaza and to identify priority areas of intervention.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">The Humanitarian Conference laid the groundwork for the resumption of a meaningful dialogue among countries in <span class=\"s1\">the region. The G7 Members reiterated their call for a <\/span><span class=\"s1\">diplomatic solution in Lebanon, in accordance with full <\/span><span class=\"s1\">implementation of UNSC Resolution 1701, and an end to the <\/span><span class=\"s1\">war in Gaza that brings the hostages home and ends the <\/span><span class=\"s1\">suffering of Palestinians and Israelis.
