Italy\u2019s most renowned jazz academy, the <strong>Siena Jazz Music Academy<\/strong>, performed in the UAE as part of the celebrations organised by the <strong>Italian Cultural Institute of Abu Dhabi<\/strong> for the <strong>24<sup>th<\/sup> Week of the Italian Language in the World<\/strong>. Five different bands participated, performing at the Zayed Theatre of Sorbonne University in Abu Dhabi and at The Fridge in Dubai.<\/p>\n<p>In Abu Dhabi, musicians Camilla <strong>Battaglia<\/strong> and Francesco <strong>Fiorenzani<\/strong> performed, while in Dubai the stage was taken by Guglielmo <strong>Santimone <\/strong>and Vittorio <strong>Gravagna<\/strong>\u2019s trio, along with Lorenzo <strong>Simoni<\/strong>\u2019s quartet.<\/p>\n<p>The concerts were organised with the support of the <strong>Italian Cultural Institute of Abu Dhabi<\/strong>, the <strong>Siena Jazz Music Academy<\/strong>, the <strong>Ministry of Culture<\/strong>, <strong>SIAE<\/strong>, and &#8220;<strong>Per Chi Crea<\/strong>&#8220;. This initiative, a partnership between the Siena Jazz Academy, IEAP agency, &#8220;Per Chi Crea&#8221;, SIAE, Ministry of Culture, the Italian Cultural Institute of Abu Dhabi, and Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi, fostered an engaging <strong>dialogue between jazz and the Italian language<\/strong>, showcasing their versatility and expressive power. For the fourth consecutive year, the Siena Jazz Festival received funding from the Italian Ministry of Culture and SIAE under the \u201cPer Chi Crea\u201d programme, aimed at promoting <strong>Italian musical excellence abroad.<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"The Siena Jazz Festival took place in Abu Dhabi and Dubai on 17 and 18 October.
